Established in 2003, CRC Jianian, Inc. is a joint venture partnership between Los Angeles based consultancy firm AIM Group LLC and China Record Corporation (CRC), the Chinese government's oldest and largest record company. The company has the exclusive worldwide rights to publish and distribute CRC's historical catalog which features the largest collection of traditional Chinese instrumental, folk, classical and children's music, the famous Peking operas and overall, some of the oldest recordings in China, dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. Additionally, the company has signed several contemporary Chinese rock and pop artists including Pang Long, whose 2005 hit single "Two Butterflies" sold more than 1.5 million legal downloads in China in just one month and Tanggula, a remarkable Tibetan "folk-fusion" music catalog.
